We are seeking a Senior Research Officer – User Experience (UX) to lead and shape our user research strategies. Key Responsibilities
· Lead User Research Initiatives: Take charge of conducting and leading user experience research, from concept development to testing and analysis. Deliver insights that drive product strategy and design, ensuring that our technology solutions meet the needs of users.
· Research Methodology & Execution: Design and implement both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including usability testing, contextual interviews, surveys, and persona development, ensuring that we gain deep insights into user behavior and needs.
· Prototyping & Testing: Work closely with design and development teams to test prototypes and validate concepts, ensuring that user feedback influences every stage of the product development cycle.
· Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (designers, developers, and product managers) to translate user insights into actionable product features and improvements. Provide strategic guidance on user-centered design practices.
· Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of user researchers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning. Ensure that research practices align with company goals and industry standards.
· Stakeholder Engagement: Present user research findings to key stakeholders, including senior leadership, and offer actionable recommendations to improve the user experience and product design.
· Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest UX research trends, tools, and methodologies, applying emerging techniques to improve our research processes and outputs.
· User-Centric Vision: Champion the needs of users across all projects, ensuring their voices are represented in every aspect of product design, development, and iteration.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Essential Skills
· Proven experience in user experience research with expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
· Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading user research teams and projects.
· Experience with agile research methodologies and working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
· Proficiency in a range of research tools and techniques (e.g., usability testing, A/B testing, surveys, interviews).
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex research findings in clear, actionable terms to stakeholders.
· Solid understanding of the UX design process and how research informs product development and design decisions.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment with designers, developers, and product managers.
· Problem-solving mindset and the ability to translate research data into meaningful product and service improvements.
Desirable Skills
· Experience with user research tools (e.g., UserTesting, Lookback, Hotjar, etc.).
· Familiarity with agile development and lean UX practices.
· Knowledge of emerging UX trends, such as AI-driven user research, and a passion for applying new methods and tools to improve user experiences.
· Experience in mentoring junior researchers or leading internal training initiatives.
