About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Architect / Lead Developer to shape the technical direction of our platforms while actively contributing to the development process. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on development expertise, requiring a forward-thinking approach and a passion for scalable, high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities
Architectural Design and Strategy
· Define and lead the architecture of SpeedTech’s platforms and supporting applications, emphasizing scalability, security, and performance.
· Align architectural decisions with business goals, ensuring long-term product viability and maintainability.
· Evaluate and implement tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance development efficiency and product capabilities.
· Design and optimize cloud-based solutions for scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
Hands-On Development
· Develop high-quality, secure, and maintainable code adhering to industry best practices.
· Collaborate with development teams on code reviews, debugging, and implementing complex solutions.
· Promote development standards, including security, testing, and code quality.
· Lead by example in delivering clean, efficient, and testable code while mentoring team members.
Technical Leadership and Mentorship
· Provide guidance and technical expertise to a team of developers, fostering innovation and collaboration.
· Mentor junior and mid-level developers to enhance their technical and problem-solving skills.
· Champion DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Work with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
· Support the IT Director in defining project scope, setting timelines, and managing development resources.
· Engage stakeholders to communicate technical strategies and align them with business objectives.
Skills & Experience
Essential Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· 7+ years of hands-on software development experience, with at least 2 years in an architecture or technical leadership role.
· Expertise in architectural patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM, microservices, event-driven architectures).
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven architectural decisions.
· Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in developing platforms for tech-driven industries.
· Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
· Certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Technical Proficiency
· Advanced knowledge of .Net 6+ and .Net Framework 4.7.2.
· Full-stack development experience, including WebForms, MVC, Razor Pages, Web API, EntityFramework/EntityFrameworkCore, Bootstrap, and SQL Server 2022.
· Proficiency in cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, particularly PaaS services (e.g., AppService, SQL Database).
· Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and serverless computing.
· CI/CD expertise using Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions.
· Experience evolving monolithic architectures to modular or vertical slices.
· Database design and management expertise in SQL and NoSQL systems.
